Call the Midwife’s ‘gritty’ Christmas Day special will feature ‘graphic scenes’ pre-watershed

Dailymail.co.uk :    It’s one of the BBC’s more sedate dramas, popular which viewers young and old.

But fans of Call The Midwife could be in for a shock when a more ‘gritty’ version of the programme is broadcast on Christmas Day at 7.45pm.

According to reports, the much-loved period drama, set in the 1950s, will feature two harrowing childbirth scenes pre-watershed.
