New Olympique Marseille boss Bielsa rules out Andre Ayew sale

Incoming Olympique Marseille coach Marcelo Bielsa has declared Ghana winger Andre Ayew is not for sale.

Ayew has been a subject of intense transfer speculation, with Arsenal, Liverpool and recently Napoli all showing interest in taking him away from the Stade Velodrome.

The 24-year-old is currently with the Ghana team preparing for the World Cup in Brazil.

Marseille’s financial troubles could be the temptation to cash in on one of their valuable assets to balance the books.

But Argentine Bielsa, who takes charge next season, is not ready to see him go.

‘Andre Ayew, Steve Mandanda, Mathieu Valbuena, Dimitri Payet and André-Pierre Gignac are untouchable in my team and I am expecting to have them back here for pre-season,’ Bielsa said

‘There are some players a coach cannot do without and I am no exception. I expect to have these players playing for our shirt next season.’
