A leading member of the NDC (name withheld), has in a sharp contrast reacted to comments by the Assin Central opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) of his intention to campaign for the NDC in last Friday, Kennedy Agyapong on Okay FM unhappy with goings-on in the NPP, openly declared to throw his weight behind the NDC if schemes to destroy the party are not thwarted.

“I would use all my resources to support the NDC and those with selfish interest can run the party the way they like. The Ashanti s can decide to keep the party and make it their property,” the Assin Central is reported to have said.

According to him, certain selfish individuals from the Ashanti Region are hell bent on destroying the party before NPP’s December Presidential Primaries and said “If they continue with the way they are going about things, I will openly campaign for the NDC.”

This comment is what has incensed the leading of the NDC say “the NDC do not need a “mad” man to win election.

“I have heard that Kennedy Agyapong has said that he prefers the NDC to that of his Party; but I want to let him know that NDC does not need loose cannon like him.”

He continues that “the problem confronting the NPP is because of characters like him, who do not make any meaningful contribution in enriching our democracy.”

To buttress his point, he said that it was the same Kennedy Agyapong, who was calling for the annihilation of the people of Ga and Ewe extraction; so why should he be taken serious.

“In fact, NDC do not need “mad” man to win election so Kennedy Agyapong should spare us his ugly noise”, the leading member concludes.
