NDC Boils Over Greedy Bastards
DAILY GUIDE gathered that the leadership of party have expressed dissatisfaction with the conduct of some power blocs, especially those at Presidency that have for sometime now thwarted efforts by the leadership to meet President John Dramani Mahama to discuss pertinent issues relating to the party.
It comes on the heels of similar concerns by a broadcaster, Gilbert Abeiku Santana Aggrey about some persons he described as hypocrites and parasites at the Presidency.
Abeiku Santana, who claimed that the hypocrites and parasites had succeeded in diverting the focus of the NDC government, warned about an impending revolution that would sweep the Mahama administration.
The latest to express displeasure with persons, who are manipulating the President to the detriment of the party, is Tanko Rashid-Computer, the party’s Northern Regional Director of Elections and Regional Treasurer.
The NDC stalwart, who refused to give further details, stated that the characters around President Mahama would spell doom for the NDC if care is not taken.
He said they were only interested in promoting their parochial interests rather than developing the party.
If their actions are not immediately checked, there could be agitation by the foot soldiers, he stated.
The peeved regional treasurer described the people as saboteurs of the NDC who are bent on using their association with the Presidency to promote their interests, calling on the President to be mindful of the activities of such deceitful characters.
He disclosed that he would officially petition the President to save his image and party from the machinations of such unscrupulous persons, who did not struggle with them in the trenches to win power.
They have the effrontery to be repelling persons who toiled for the NDC, he claimed.
Mr. Rashid-Computer, who was unhappy with the treatment meted out to him by some unidentified officials at the Presidency posted this on his Facebook Wall, ‘Comrades, our NDC is in big trouble considering the behaviour of some characters at the Presidency. After having a telephone conversation with one of them, I cursed my stars for ever speaking with him. With characters like that I doubt whether we have a future as a party. A complete ignorance of public administration with its antecedent on line of authority. Had it not been my in-depth knowledge about NDC and its operations, I would have been one of those to call it quits in politics. Thank God the NDC will survive such greedy guys. I hope to meet him face-to-face and slug it out with him. Complete nonsense. Now I understand why foot-soldiers attack us day in day out. Such characters at the Presidency will cause irreparable damage to the fortunes of HE Prez Mahama. I intend writing officially to the President about his behaviour. What is this? I am sorry for being ballistic on a colleague supposed party member. I have braved such storm before and hope our hard work that contributed to making the party winning machinery will not be in vain. I rest my case.’
Meanwhile, other executives of the party in the region have expressed similar sentiments.
We wonder if the party’s founder, Jerry John Rawlings, has not been vindicated because of the conduct of the ‘greedy bastards. Many people say the development could discourage persons from joining the party, they said.
They called on the Presidency to assert its authority to check the menace.
