NCCE sensitizes Mary Star of the Sea school on good citizenship

Kasoa, May 29, GNA – The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) on Wednesday interacted with pupils of Mary Star of the Sea International School in Kasoa as part of its citizenship week celebration.

During the   Mrs Augustina Akosua Akumanyi, NCCE Deputy Chairperson in Charge of Operations, advised the children to be disciplined since they are the future leaders of   the country, adding that a nation without discipline could never develop.

She spoke on the topic ‘Indiscipline and how it Weakens’ the Pillars of our Democracy’ and advised the pupils to respect their parents, elders, teachers, as well as the right of others.

Mrs Akumanyi advised the pupil to obey the school rules and also appealed to them to contribute to their community by keeping the environment clean.

Mrs Mary Ethel Ekenlebie, Headmistress of the school, expressed her delight at the programme and said it would broaden the minds of the pupils.
