Mosque Razed By Fire In Lagos

Idera Oluwa Mosque situated at Marina car park on Lagos Island has been engulfed in fire.

The fire started at about at about 1.30am while the Imam and other worshippers were praying inside of the building on Friday, May 2. No fatalities were reported. It’s supposed to be an electrical spark from one of the power points that caused the inferno.

The incident was immediately reported to the Lion Building Police Station. The operatives along with the firemen rushed to the scene to extinguish the fire.

The incident was also confirmed by the state police spokesperson and a Deputy Superintendent (DSP), Ngozi Braide. She said that the cause of fire and value of property destroyed is yet to be estimated as the case is still under investogation.
