Miss Precious Ghana Holds Audition
Auditions for the Miss Precious Ghana beauty pageant slated for November this year in Accra has been held.
Twelve beautiful and intelligent ladies made it through to the next stage of the competition, after a rigorous selection exercise at the DNR Turkish Restaurant in East Legon.
The 12 ladies are Rhoda Mawusi Amegadze from the University of Ghana, Legon, Felicia Hawusi Mensah, Trisha Basira Mahama, Bernice Kumah and Abigail Nyarko of 2 nd image Beauty Academy and Eudora Animah Andoh of the University of Professional Studies.
The rest are Afua Bonomfaa Peprah of KNUST, Amoafo Belinda Pokuaa, Owusu Amponsa Priscilla from Zenith College, Jacquiline Kirk-Mensah, Akosombo International School, Patience Aidoo, a graduate of Cambridge International College and Rhoda Enam Asase, a second-year student of the University of Ghana, Legon.
Over the next few weeks, the twelve would engage in a number of pre-final activities. Among other things, they are to select an orphanage of choice and do a thorough research on their gender maturity, accessibility to healthcare, age range, among other areas, and help raise sponsorship to help their activities.
The drive is to test their practical assessment of some of society’s sad cases, organizers say.
‘Shelter is often forgotten or ignored. Sometimes we assume they have places to lay their heads but what we don’t bother to check is if the so-called shelter we see is comfortable or even somehow comfortable and safe for people to live in. We sometimes also feel it is too expensive to tackle hence, we ignore it,’ the organizers have maintained.
Finals of the Miss Precious Ghana will be held in November. The maiden edition is being held under the theme; ‘Building A Solid Foundation For The Needy’.
