Military have reportedly raided Tumbarka village, Borno state, on Thursday killing 10 Boko Haram insurgents and recovering guns and 15 motorcycles.
This was made known by the National Information Centre (NIC) coordinator Mr. Mike Omeri in the state capital Abuja, he also added that soldiers dislodged a road block made by the insurgents at Damboa and Biu, Nigerian Times reports.
Speaking about hundreds of alleged Boko Haram members arrested on Sunday in Abia State, he confirmed that the kingpin was spotted among them adding that the investigation was still in process. He thus urged people not to make early conclusions but wait for the investigation results.
Moreover, he urged Nigerians to restrain from providing unconfirmed comments causing panic and said that whoever is innocent among those arrested, they will be released.
