Mercato: Benzema remains at Real?

Contractual situation is uncomfortable for Karim Benzema at Real Madrid, despite his 17 goals in La Liga this season.

The French striker is also in discussions with his leaders to extend his contract, which expires in one year. This greatly reduces the amount of any transfer. And Arsenal would like to take advantage of situation to enroll the French star scorer this summer. Especially as Real Madrid would be ready to disburse a tidy sum between 90 and 100 million Euros for Luis Suarez for a 4-3-3. The former Lyon is not yet in nightmares.

‘I sleep well, I get up and I eat well. Everyone can come and more to Madrid, where all the best come. I work every day to play in Madrid. I do not feel any particular pressure. He is a great player and he made a great season, but in football you have to learn to do more. But he is a great player and if he comes, he will help us , Benzema commented to Marca. The media can say what they want. I have a contract, I’m in Madrid and if I can stay all my life in Madrid, then I will. I came here to win titles. If it depended on me, I would abide here. I do not want to go anywhere. My extension? I hope to reach an agreement with Real Madrid; there is no other club like this. Every year I feel better, I just think of Madrid. I’m happy here with my family.’
