Drivers plying the Koforidua-Bunso road have expressed worry about the poor state of the roads and are threatening to go on a massive demonstration to bare their teeth at government.
According to some of the drivers, the roads have been in bad state for some years now but said the current nature was very deplorable and needed immediate attention.
The road which links up the main Accra-Kumasi road at Bunso also connects to major communities like Akyem-Tafo, Osiem, Begoro and others.
The drivers were not happy at all with successive regional ministers, the East-Akyem and New Juaben municipal assemblies and their members of parliament for failing to do their best to help repair the road.
”Our cars are breaking down and we are spending so much on spare parts,” one of the frustrated drivers told journalists in an interview.
He also accused patrol officers on the road of taking bribes from commercial drivers and called on the regional MTTU commander to call their men to order.
