The organisers of the much awaited Ghana DJ Awards have announced that one of Nigerian comedy icons, has been invited to co-host this year’s event slated for February 22, at the National Theatre in Accra.
The multi-talented artiste is not just a comedian, but also a musician, a painter and the designer of his own clothes.
Apart from being a co-host, Klint will also perform some of his rib-cracking jokes to entertain fans who will grace the occasion.
The Ghana DJ Awards is being organised to honour the country’s most hardworking and dedicated Disc Jockeys (DJs) who promoted Ghanaian culture through music and skilfully played music to entertain music lovers in Ghana and other parts of the world.
The Chief Executive Officer of Merqury Republic Events, Merqury Quaye who announced this at a meeting said, ‘We’re excited to have our neighbouring Nigerian join in this year’s Ghana DJ Awards 2014 this fabulous way. DJ Humility got a nomination, DJ Jimmy Jattt is coming to grace the occasion, and Klint is here to step up the excitement! We’re really going to have fun this year. Ghana DJ Awards 2014 would be an exciting night; highly entertaining.’
He stressed that the event was expected to attract Ghana’s top musicians, stakeholders in the music and copyright sectors, a cross-section of music lovers and the general public.
Joy FM’s DJ Black is leading all the nominees with seven nominations, including Best Mixtape (for ‘Headnod Mix’), Best Event DJ and Best DJ of the Year; a category in which he will compete with DJ Champagne, DJ Mensa and DJ Slim.
This year’s event will witness performances by DJ Jimmy Jatt, DJ Mic Smith, DJ Mensah, DJ Slim, DJ Bryte, VIP, Mz Vee, Stonebwoy, Keche, Edem, Diamond amongst other great artistes.
