King Faisal relegated on final day of season

King Faisal head to the Division One ranks after falling into the relegation zone of the Premier League on the final day.

Faisal, thus join Ebusua Dwarfs and Amidaus Professionals as the three demoted sides from the top-flight.

The Kumasi-based side could only draw 1-1 with Berekum Chelsea at the Baba Yara Stadium as their relegation contenders, Aduana Stars won at home against Asante Kotoko.

Tetteh Nortey put Faisal in front after just seven minutes but Denis Tetteh ensured that Chelsea picked a share of the spoils with his equaliser that ended Faisal’s hopes of retaining their status as a Premier League side.

In Cape Coast, Ebusua Dwarfs could only draw goalless with Inter Allies as they bid goodbye to the top-flight as their poor second round performance failed to match a promising first round campaign.

At the Tema Stadium, Amidaus bowed out of the Premier League on a losing note as the bottom side lost 3-2 to Bechem United.

Eric Okutu and Rennel Adjetey scored for Amidaus but top-scorer, Augustine Okrah, Maxwell Addai and Godfred Fosu ensured that the visitors claimed all the spoils by scoring for Bechem.
