A Broadcast  journalist, Kwadwo Marfo, was shot by unknown assailants on Sunday.

Mr. Marfo, Morning Show host of Kapital Radio, was said to have been shot in the leg by trigger-happy hoodlums in his friend’s house in the afternoon. They fled the scene after the shooting.

Mr. Marfo, who survived the gory attack, was later rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) for treatment.

What motivated the on-the-run shooters to take that dastardly action was yet unknown, giving room for speculations.

Some residents said the attackers went into the house purposely to take the life of the seasoned journalist.

Others said perhaps he was not lucky to be in the house of his friend at that particular time because he (friend) might be the target.

DAILY GUIDE gathered that the police in the region are making all frantic efforts to arrest the perpetrators of the heinous act.

DCOP Kofi Boakye, Ashanti Regional Police Commander, personally visited the crime scene Sunday afternoon.

He then proceeded to the KATH to access Kwadwo Marfo’s condition and also pick some vital information which could lead to the arrest of the gangsters.

Kwadwo Marfo, the paper gathered, was responding to treatment.
