Japan Provides Krobo With Modern School Building

A MODEL Primary School has been commissioned at Afrancho-Krobo for the benefit of the Community and its environ to serve as a relief for school children who take the risk of travelling long distances for school.
The project, comprising a 6 Unit classroom, office, computer laboratory/Library, Staff common room, Toilet facilities for Head Teacher, male and female staff, male and female students and urinals respectively, was funded by GGHSP-Embassy of Japan, in collaboration with Kwabre District Assembly under grants for grassroots human security projects.
Mr. Kaakyere Oppong Kyekyeku, the District Chief Executive charged parents to help make the name model, to reflect in the performance of their wards’ school, by giving the basic needs of the children’s education and in make teaching and learning more attractive for both teacher and the students, thus complement government’s effort of giving quality education to the children as future leaders of the country.
According to him, governance is about identifying the basic needs of the people and solve them at the appropriate time and assured of the NDC government’ determination to give quality education to every child who is in school irrespective of religion, tribe or the political affiliations.
He entreated Ghanaians to desist from politicizing developmental projects, which he said must be checked to enhance development and improve the lives of the people.
Mr. Shigerun Hamano, Deputy Head of mission, Japan Embassy commended the effort by Afigya Kwabre as a development partner to improve the educational environment in the district.
He urged the community especially the school Authorities to ensure the proper maintenance of the facility to also benefit the future generation.
