Former flagbearer aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alan Kwadwo Kyeremateng has dismissed claims that the new crop of NPP executives will work to support his candidature.
According to him even though he has a close relationship with some of the current crop of National Executives, he did not in any way influence their election.
“Kwabena Agyepong and Paul Afoko have been my longtime friends, but if you ask them, they will tell you I was too distant from what was going on; I decided as a matter of principle that I will not seek in any way to influence the elections that were going on,’’ he told host of Metro TV’s Good Evening Ghana on Tuesday.
Mr. Kyeremateng has been widely claimed as the ultimatum winner of the recent conference of the party after delegates rejected the national executives en-bloc for a team believed to be favourable to him.
Mr. Kyeremanteng stated that although he does not seek to influence the thinking of the new executives in anyway.
