I Can Never Put On Skirt Or Kaba & Slit…

For almost 20 years, YFM’s lady DJ, Nana Kessewa Adu better known as DJ Kess has come to love wearing clothes that are more associated with men.

The 25- year old is always in jeans shorts, khaki trousers with her pair of sneakers.

For tops, she prefers simple T-shirts, short sleeves, polo shirts or sleeveless affairs that make her “ready to fight.”

Speaking to ‘Showbiz’ in an interview on Tuesday, DJ Kess who won best female presenter on two consecutive times at the Radio and Television Personality Awards said she is used to dressing this way since age five.

“This is the way I have been dressing since I was five years old and no one can stop me from dressing this way. I love to dress like that because it makes me feel good. Call me a tomboy or whatever you may but that is me. Like me or dont”, she said.

Asked what influenced her way of dressing, D J Kess explained that she grew up playing football and table tennis with boys.

“Sorry to disappoint you but I can’t imagine myself wearing a skirt or traditional ladies clothes. They will look funny on me. In fact, I have not worn a skirt or a kaba and slit since I grew up” she said.

DJ Kess who had the opportunity to perform at the Big Brother Africa final two years ago and has also in African countries such Liberia, Nigeria, Benin and Togo said not even her boyfriend would make her change her way of dressing.

“I cannot date a man who is not comfortable about my dressing. This is why I am happy my guy loves me this way” she said.

Responding to whether she gets complaints from her friends, this is what she has to say “My friends and my fans are curious to know why I dress this way but I don’t explain to them because I feel it is not necessary”
