Accra, April 21, GNA Accra Hearts of Oak managed a 2-1 victory over Bechem United in the 26th week First Capital Plus Premier League game at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Hearts scored first in the second minute through Emmanuel Hayford, who headed home a corner kick from Winful Cobbinah.

The lead was short lived as Prosper Donkoh equalised in the seventh minute with a powerful grounder from the edge of the box to beat goalkeeper Philemon McCarthy.

Hearts could have won the game in the first half, but squandered several scoring chances with Cobinah and Eric Kumi as the culprits.

The home side continued with their search for the lead and in the 76th minute, Cobbinah raced into the defence of Bechem United and was brought down by Papa Yaw for referee O.B. Amankwah to award Hearts a penalty.

Roben Gnagne converted it for Hearts.
Hearts ensured the lead was well protected till the close of the 90th minute.
