According to the Black Stars and Esperance left-back Harrison Afful, the current players want to make a mark in the history of this great nation.

He has told this paper, Ghana will be the team to watch at this years’ football Mundial in June.

“Ghana will go far and I am confident my colleagues know the task ahead and we won’t let Ghanaians down in Brazil.I am so confident that we will go past what the team did in South Africa.

“Let’s pray for injury free to the players of the national team and believe in ourselves that we will do something great in Brazil.

“Ghana knows the opponents are good and playing against such opponent wouldn’t be that easy but with determination and hard work, Black Stars will reach far.

“Don’t forget to pray also for our coach, James Kwesi Appiah,” Harrison added.

Harrison was in fantastic form for Esperance and scored the match winner for his side when they beat rival Stade Tunisien by two goals on Saturday.

The defender, playing in an advanced role, made home with a powerful drive to beat Tunisien goalie when he registered his third in the season.

Esperance top the league table with 44 points ahead of Club Africane who have a game in hand.

Ghana will open its campaign with the United States before taken on Germany and Portugal in Group G in this years World Cup in Brazil.
