Graduates of Ho School of Hygiene go on demo

Graduates of the Ho School of Hygiene have taken to the streets to demonstrate against what they claim is government’s failure to get them posted after years of graduation from the school.

According to them, three batches are still at home doing nothing despite their successful graduation.

They have threatened to continue demonstrating against the government if nothing urgent is done about their situation.

They have also appealed to President John Mahama through the Volta regional minister to use his good office to grant them “Immediate posting of all past students from the school of Hygiene” and to “review policy on the posting of subsequent students that will pass out from the schools.”

Receiving the petition on behalf of the president the Volta Regional Minister Hon Helen Adzoa Ntoso said they will hear from the government very soon.

The Ho School of Hygiene was established in 1975 and constituted one of the three schools of  Hygiene established by the government under the ministry of Health to train Environmental Health officers.
