Gov’t Releases Action Paper On GYEEDA Report
Government has released an action paper on the GYEEDA report detailing its response and actions to the recommendations of the Ministerial Committee that studied the report.
Deputy Information Minster, Felix Kwakye Ofosu briefing the media at the Flagstaff House on Wednesday said government would undertake major reforms within GYEEDA “since it is the right thing to do in circumstances like this.”
He revealed that ‘the action paper (released by government) clearly details what government intends to do’ based on the recommendations of the Inter-Ministerial Committee.
He also indicated that, a review of ownership of GYEEDA would be considered when the GYEEDA Bill is prepared in order for it to have a legislative backing.
On the current running of activities at GYEEDA Mr. Kwakye Ofosu indicated that until proper formal structures are put in place, ‘an interim management committee will be put in place to oversee the activities of GYEEDA.’
