In-form Ghana U20 striker Ebenezer Assifuah says he is nowhere the level of Asamoah Gyan.
Assifuah’s magnificent display at the recently concluded FIFA U20 World Cup in Turkey is well documented globally.
The youngster underlined his huge potential with swash-buckling performances and rib-smacking goals that propelled the Ghanaians to pick bronze during the tournament.
The Liberty Professionals ace won the Golden boot award after ending the tournament as the top scorer with six goals.
The youngster is already being likened to Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan, whom many believe will be the next big thing to happen to Ghana football.
His technique and goal scoring prowess is quite typical of the Ain Ain hitman but the 20-year-old says he is nowhere the exploits of the Ghana captain.
“I don’t want anyone to compare me to Asamoah Gyan. What Gyan has achieved for both club and country is incredible,” Assifuah said
“I am youngster and therefore have a lot to learn. He is way, way ahead of me. I see him as a senior brother that I can learn a lot from.
“My confidence level has gone up after this tournament and so I’m hoping to take advantage of any deal that will benefit me professionally.
“We are two different players but like I said I am the one with lots of things to learn from him and others.”
Assifuah has been linked with a number of stellar clubs abroad with Arsenal the latest to enter the race for his signature.
