Ghana To Hire ‘Placenta Woman’ For Brazil World Cup

Ghana will acquire the services of Mariana Kovacevic, a Serbian Traditional Healer who has specialized in the use of Horse placenta treatment to heal athletes to boost the Black Stars medical team during the Brazil World Cup, Ghana Youth and Sports Minister Elvis Afriyie Ankrah has revealed.

Speaking to journalists in Accra, the minister indicated that the move to bring back the placenta woman was to strenghthen Ghana’s medical team before and during the World Cup to ensure that they stars are physically in shape.

The Belgrade housewife, who treated Premier League stars such as Frank Lampard, Robin van Persie and Glen Johnson at her clinic last season, has been enlisted to help the medical team of Ghana in Brazil.

Even though the Ghana FA has yet to acknowledge her official role, Minister for Youth and Sports Elvis Afriyie Ankra has revealed that the Serbian is in line to join Ghana’s team to the World Cup. Her methods involve electrical impulse therapy and massaging affected muscle areas with placenta fluid.

At the 2012 finals, Kovacevic helped facilitate the recovery of striker Asamoah Gyan who was hamstrung before the start of the tournament in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea but was ditched for the Afcon tournament in South Africa last year.
