Ghana: I Will Play for Hearts of Oak Before I Retire From Football – Stephen Appiah
Former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah has hinted he will play for Accra Hearts of Oak before he retire from football. Appiah is the youngest player to score a brace in Hearts-Kotoko game this makes him a hero in Hearts-kotoko rivalry as it is always tough for young players to even get opportunity to play such games.
The atmosphere always change when these two teams meet Stephen Appiah is the first Black Stars captain to lead the team to the World cup, his leadership skill brought all the players together as one family.this unity strenghtend the team and made it difficult for any team to beat. The Midfield General has played for clubs like Juventus,Fenerbache,and is currently searching for a new club.
“When the time comes for me to play for Hearts again, I will do. I wouldn’t care what anybody would say. I’ll use my reputation and image to attract some commercial benefits to the club,” Appiah said. Fans of Accra Hearts of Oak cant wait to welcome their faithful son to the club.
