Express Life staff attend knowledge-sharing workshop
Staff of Express Life, a life insurance company, have participated in a knowledge-sharing workshops organised by LeapFrog Labs, aimed at helping employees to put up peak performances.
The sessions formed part of the insurance company’s efforts at playing a leading role in the life insurance industry with quality services.
LeapFrog Labs is Leapfrog Investment’s performance improvement, advisory and impact hub, which works to help Leapfrog companies grow faster, operate more efficiently and build skills at scale.
It does this through identifying potential initiatives that directly support strategic objectives for the low-income and mass-market segments, and provide research and development support across the Leapfrog portfolio.
The workshops discussed several issues including distribution challenges and best practices in low-income areas.
Other topics included distribution tools and partnerships; customer marketing and awareness building, as well as the role of technology in marketing communication.
It was facilitated by officials of Leapfrog Labs and the Micro Insurance Centre, while the attendees were drawn from Leapfrog’s portfolio companies in Ghana (Express Life), Kenya, Uganda, Senegal, Sri Lanka and India.
The Chief Executive Officer of Express Life, Mr Emmanuel Aryee, said as the life insurance industry was growing at a rapid pace, service delivery issues continued to dampen the public confidence in the industry.
Staff also participated in another knowledge sharing event in Nairobi, Kenya, where the participants engaged in discussion and problem solving based on the diversity of the LeapFrog portfolio.
The Knowledge Sharing Series enables Leapfrog Labs to add real value; value that directly impacts both the growth and bottom line of Leapfrog’s investees, as well as the wellbeing and protection of the low-income and underserved markets which each investee company target.
LeapFrog is the majority shareholders of Express Life.
