Uruguay striker Luis Suarez has been named in the final 23-man squad for the FIFA World Cup tournament despite undergoing surgery in the last week.
The Liverpool forward is not expecting a return until after Uruguay’s first game in the finals against Costa Rica. Suarez could however be fit to face his club team-mates in the England national team on the 19 of June.
Coach Oscar Tabarez will however have Edinson Cavani and Diego Forlan to rely on in the absence of Luis Suarez as both players have been named for the tournament.
