The Ghana international has now signed for Paris-based US firm Comsport whose clients are mostly NBA stars.
Comsport’s football clients include Papy Djilobodji, Idrissa Gueye and Valentin Lavigne.
Mendy managed Ayew for years but has decided to end his relationship with the Frenchman after.
There are suggestions the son of Ghana legend Abedi Pele was dissatisfied with Mendy’s work.
Ayew, who is preparing for the 2014 World Cup finals, has left Comsport to decide on his future whether he stays at the club or leaves.
