Ex-belgium-based Rahim Ayew Training With Ghana Top-flight Inter Allies
Ghana midfielder Rahim Ayew has started training to local top-flight side Inter Allies to keep maintain his fitness in anticipation of a move abroad, GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal.
The first son of Ghana legend Abedi Pele, who was based in Belgium, started training with the club this week to maintain his fitness.
Rahim was released by SK Lierse at the end of last season following disagreements with the club over financial issues.
He was a key player for the club before he was released at the end of last term.
The 24-year-old alongside two others; Hussien Yasser and Soufiane Bidaoui did not have their contracts renewed when it run out at the end of the season.
Inter Allies coach Willie Klutse says they have only taken the players to train with them to help his fitness.
‘We have Rahim Ayew in our camp but he is only training with us to maintain his fitness. We have not signed him.’
Rahim was warming his way back to top form following his recovery from a series of injuries before he was released by Lierse
The eldest son of Ghana legend Abedi Pele played 17 times for Lierse last season and it is said some clubs in Europe are keen on him.
