AC Milan midfielder Michael Essien will be the captain as the Black Stars take on the Dutch national team in tonight’s World Cup preparatory clash in Rotterdam.

Regular skipper Asamoah Gyan will be starting from the bench, which gives Essien the chance to put on the armband against the Oranje.

Kwesi Appiah goes starts Norwegian-based goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey in post. The game is set to kick off at the De Kuip Arena at 18:30 GMT (6:30pm local time). Rashid Sumaila and Jerry Akaminko will pair up in central defense, as Jeffrey Schlupp starts in the left-back position with Samuel Inkoom on the right. The midfield features captain Michael Essien, Albert Adomah, Rabiu Mohammed, Kwadwo Asamoah and Christian Atsu.

Jordan Ayew will be the leading striker for Ghana in place of Gyan.
