Michael Essien says he is prepared to give off his best to help Ghana’s World Cup ambitions in Brazil.
The AC Milan midfielder joined his Black Stars teammates in camp on Monday as he headed straight into training in their base in Arnhem, Holland.
Essien, who was granted permission to attend to other pressing matters as he missed the first phase of training in Accra last week is ready for the hard work as coach Kwesi Appiah finalizes his final 23.
“I am delighted to be back with the Black Stars. I am coming here to give off my best for the country,” Essien told www.ghanafa.org.
His arrival leaves Appiah with a near-full house as the team awaits Sulley Muntari.
The Black Stars have been preparing in Holland since Sunday.
