Essien Backs Chelsea Teammate Van Ginkel To Recover From Injury

Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien has backed teammate Marco van Ginkel to recover from his cruciate ligament injury.
Ginkel could miss the majority of the season after suffered an injury during their Capital One Cup game at Swindown Town last week.
The Dutch international finds himself in a similar situation which rocked Essien world on three occasions and the Ghanaian ace has moved to reassure his fellow midfielder that he will return soon.
“I would like to wish Marco van Ginkel all the best with his injury and recovery. Having suffered two cruciate ligament injuries myself, I know how it feels and the hard work that lies ahead of him,” he said on blog.
“He is young so I expect him to come back sooner than expected. Allthe best Marco.”
Van Ginkel joined Chelsea in the summer from Vitesse Arnhem
