Black Stars coach Endorses Airtel Rising Stars as he fraternizes with Airtel staff

Black Stars coach Kwasi Appiah has backed the 2014 edition of Airtel Rising Stars (ARS) to discover talent for Ghana’s national football teams and ensure that the future of the sport in Ghana is preserved.

The ‘Silent Killer’ as Kwasi Appiah is now called told Airtel Staff when he launched ARS internally that ‘Airtel is doing good work with ARS’ and charged them to continue finding young talent and grooming them because they can ‘change many lives with this unique approach.’

Airtel’s Chief Executive Officer, Lucy Quist told Kwasi Appiah of the company’s appreciation for the inspired work he is doing for the senior national team and wished him well at the World Cup.

‘We believe in grassroots football as we see it as the future of Ghana football. That is why we will be doing it for the 4 time this year. As you leave with your team for your preparatory games and then World Cup proper, we wish you the very best and believe that you will make us proud on the big stage,’ Lucy Quist said.

Airtel rising Stars will officially be launched to the media and other stakeholders at the Kofi Annan ICT Center of Excellence in Accra on May 28.

The competition officially kicks off on June 5 to 7 at Ho where regional teams representing Volta, Eastern and Greater Accra will battle for honours.
