Ejisu Juaben Municipal Assembly in the Ashanti Region, has presented relief items to some victims of a fire out break which occurred at Ejisu some few weeks ago that resulted in the death of six persons.
Presenting the items estimated at a cost of over GHC 2,000.00 to the victims at Ejisu, Mr. Kwaku Afrifa Yamoah Ponko, Ejisu Juaben Municipal Chief Executive, explained that the donation was the assembly’s widow mite to them and said that it was also indicated how importance the assembly attached to the well-being of it people.
The items were include, 6 bags of rice, 2-boxes of Cooking Oil, 12-boxes of Mosquito Coil , Used clothes and other personal belongings.
Mr. Yamoah Ponko, entreated land developers in the municipality to ensure that they had obtained building permits finally before the start their projects to avoid future occurrences.
He hinted that the assembly would embark on serious demolishing exercise in the municipality to clear off all unauthorized structures in the area.
Items running into millions of Ghana Cedis were ruined during the disaster.
