Egypt: 110 Archaeological Artifacts Looted From Mallawi Museum, Restored
Some 110 archaeological artifacts looted from Mallawi Museum, have been restored. Residents swiftly responded to the appeal extended by the Ministry of Antiquities and handed out the monuments that have already been stolen from Mallawi Museum.
Antiquities Minister Mohamed Ibrahim said that the ministry had restored 25 golden coins looted among other antiquities from Malawi National Museum.
Ibrahim said the ministry has started to take necessary measures to partially reopen Mallawi Museum to visitors.
Ibrahim said all required preparations were made such as paintings and renovation work and big artifacts are now on display at the museum.
