Derek Boateng climbed off the bench to help Fulham beat Stoke City 1-0 at home in the English Premier League on Saturday.
The Ghana international midfielder was making his second appearance for the Cottagers since debuting in their 1-0 season opener at Sunderland.
Fulham manager Martin Jol threw in Boateng just before the hour mark to replace Giorgos Karagounis.
Boateng is third in the pecking order at Fulham for the midfield position behind Scott Parker who missed the match due to injury and Karagounis.
He was vibrant in the middle and when all thought the game was heading for a draw, Fulham struck in 83rd minute.
Kasami’s cross was deflected into the path of Bent who took a touch, dummied Begovic and a Stoke defender and slotted into the empty net for his third goal since joining the Whites in August.
