Daukoru Stuns National Conference Reveals His Wards Are Behind Nigeria’s Illegal Refineries Problem

THE National Conference was yesterday stunned when a delegate on the platform of National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria, His Royal Highness, Dr. Edmund Daukoru that his boys were responsible for the proliferation of illegal refineries in the Niger Delta.

The National Conference yesterday was surprised to hear one of their delegates reveal that his wards are behind the proliferation of illegal refineries in the Niger Delta.

The delegate His Royal Highness, Dr. Edmund Daukoru from the platform of National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria was speaking on the same day delegates threw out a recommendation for official recognition of illegal crude oil refineries in the country.

Daukoru had praised he delegates for choosing to vote against the constitutional recognition for illegal refineries.

He revealed that he himself voted against the notion due to it being unhealthy for the nation, he said “even though they are my boys,” but their technology is too crude. he continued: “The nays is not a matter of sentiment as I see that the matter is being reduced to sentiments.

This remark alone incited different reactions from the stunned audience who were taken aback by such revelation.

He said: “We have been considering mini-refineries for a very long time and now we are talking of micro-refineries.” The reason why the policy is not being implemented is because without the cracking capacity, you recover just about a third of crude oil stock being put in.

Also, what is being put out, in terms of quality is not very friendly with the kind of usage it is being put to, whether into generating sets or sophisticated automatic engines, they actually destroy your engines.”
