Danish coach Tommy Moller Nelsen has cooled talks on reports he is set to be appointed technical advisor of Ghanaian club Hearts of Oak.

The 52-year-old claims he is only in the country to ‘watch football’.

Nelsen went to see Hearts train on Friday to give further credence to reports he is in the country to seal his appointment as a technical advisor of the club.

The ex Rangers coach was again at the Accra Sports Stadium to see the side’s 2-1 win over Bechem United on Sunday.

The Dane however insists his visit to Ghana is not to take up a job at Hearts.

“I am just here to watch a football game,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“I can’t tell [if he is interested in a coaching post at Hearts]. I am only here as a friend of Neil Armstrong (Hearts’ Chief Executive) who has been my friend for many years.

“This is my third time in Ghana and I am happy to be here.”

Nelsen is reported to be leading a pack of coaches interested in taking up a role with the Phobians ahead of an expected technical shake up at the end of the season.

The sleeping Ghanaian giants are looking for a new coach on the quiet as they will be doing away with coach Mohammed Polo when his contract expires next month.
