Concert to mark French-German friendship

The National Symphony Orchestra Ghana, along with guest musicians from Germany and France, will perform at the 7.30pm concert which forms part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of ‘Élysée Treaty’ between France and Germany.
The signing of the ‘Élysée Treaty’ in 1963 by French President Charles de Gaulle and the Chancellor of Germany Chancellor Konrad Adenauer Konrad ended centuries of rivalry between the two nations.
German conductor, Markus Baisch will lead the Friendship Concert. Renowned French violinist, Frederic Pélassy will play a concerto.
The Tama Youth Choir, the children’s choir of the Anani Memorial School at Nima and the children’s orchestra of the Cradle-of-Grace Montessori-School, both in Accra and opera singers from Ghana are also scheduled to perform.
