Coalition Of Concerned Teachers Embark On Strike
Members of the Coalition of Concerned Teachers have declared a nationwide strike.
According to the Coalition, several efforts to get the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) to pay them their outstanding arrears following their migration unto the Single Spine Salary Structure (SSSS) had proven futile.
Speaking to Citi News, Director of Communications for the Coalition, Ken Awudu Ali said the FWSC had taken the coalition for granted.
He remarked that the coalition was not benefiting from contributions made to the National Regulatory Pension Authority.
‘The National Regulatory Pension Authority has failed to make the second gear of the pension scheme see the light of day,’ he added
In that regard, he noted that the coalition had no option than to embark on a strike since their concerns had not been addressed.
