Chelsea FC could stick with Rafael Benitez after Pep Guardiola snub – Ray Wilkins

Crunchsports :    Chelsea could install interim manager Rafael Benitez as their next permanent boss as a result of Pep Guardiola’s decision to join Bayern Munich, according to Ray Wilkins.

Guardiola, who is currently on a one-year sabbatical after leaving Barcelona at the end of last season, on Wednesday announced he would take charge of Bayern this summer after recently confirming his plans to return to coaching before the start of next season.

The 41-year-old was believed to be Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich’s top target to take charge of the club on a permanent basis at the end of the season once Benitez’s contract expires.
