The Wa East constituency executives of the National Democratic Congress are urging the party leadership and government to be circumspect in their utterances when responding to attacks from the Rawlingses. Addressing a news conference in Wa, Constituency Secretary, Munawar Issahaku warned any negative comment will aggravate the severed relations between the founder and the Presidency and make it difficult for any mediation process. Joy News’ Upper West Region correspondent Rafik Salam reported the conference was to bring to the fore the unprecedented developments in the region and more importantly the urgent need to unite.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) says it is not surprised at comments by New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer that the Mills-led administration has failed to implement all promises made during the 2008 elections. Nana Akuffo Addo at a rally in Kumasi on Friday challenged the Mills administration to provide proof of any campaign promise it has delivered. Responding to the challenge, the Propaganda Secretary of the NDC, Richard Quashigah told XYZ News that Nana Akufo-Addo is making such comments out of desperation to win the presidency in the impending polls.
