Bro. Simon Out Soon
Although Brother Simon Dugbatey is new on the gospel music scene, he appears determined to make it to the top despite the keen competition in the Ghanaian gospel music industry.
His album which is yet to be released has a lot of gospel praises and will soon be aired on some radio stations in the country.
Simon is seen by many as an inspiration and he has, indeed, proven beyond all reasonable doubts to his numerous fans that he really has come to stay.
The lyrics in all the songs on his album are neatly arranged with sensational and inspirational rhythms, making the album a unique one.
Having sung for several years, Simon has worked with stars like Grace Ashie, Rev. Kusi Brempong, Lady Juliana Acheampong, Kweku Gyasi, Nana Yaw Asare, Andy Frimpong Manso and Kofi Sarpong.
According to his management, although Simon is young on the music scene, his main aim is to be among the best on the international music market.
The management told BEATWAVES that Simon is not coming out with just any album, stressing that it is important for the songs on the album to make a dent on the minds of music fans as soon as it hits the market.
The songs on the album which was produced and managed by Dynamic Records, a subsidiary of Empire Group of Companies, include ‘Obegye me’ featuring DSP Kofi Sarpong, ‘Okonkron’, ‘Aseda’ and ‘Meda W’ase’.
Simon Dugbatey, the first born in a family of 14, was born on April 28, 1980 at Tema to Daniel Dugbatey and Regina Tetteh.
He currently owns a fashion design firm called Simon Collection at Nungua commercial centre near Nungua Senior High School.
Mr. Dugbatey is the proud founder and president of the Mordecai Project, a contemporary youth mentoring, coaching and rehabilitation organization set up to prepare the youth of Ghana to become morally upright and patriotic leaders.
