According to DailyTrust, the personnel joined scores of other women, chanting “We Want Our Daughters, Bring Back Our Daughters,” and carrying multiple placards with such inscriptions as “Rescue Our Daughters”, “Enough is enough”, “Stop Bombings And Killings”. Some other messages expressed anger against the government’s slow handling of this horrible crime.
One of the two Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs), who led other female officers to the venue of the protest, said that as women, as mothers, they had no choice, but to join the solidarity movement calling for rescue of over 200 female students abducted by Boko Haram from GGSS Chibok, 24 days ago.
Another female police personnel broke from chanting was seen raising her hands up in the air, demonstrating prayers to God. The women offered prayers as they made recitations from both the Bible and the Quran, raiding their voices up to God for intervention.
