This morning in Gombi Town, Adamawa state, Residents were shocked when motorcycle riding Gunmen stormed the Anguwan Faransa area and kidnapped one German principal.
The man, Mr Fisch is a principal of a Technical Skill Acquisition Centre in the town and was abruptly taken as he headed to work.
One resident of the Gombi town confided in Premium times reporters and said that Mr Fisch was a very important man in the little town.
The resident said: “The abductors laid siege on his house, and they came on motorcycles. As soon as the man came out and was about to get into his car, two persons on foot approached him and pointed a gun at him.
They now called the two sets on motorcycles who approached them and they carried him away on their motorcycle,” the witness said.
“Almost everybody in this town knows him because he helps us a lot, especially in the area of repairing the town’s water bore holes. Most of the time he uses his own money to buy equipment and repair our boreholes,” he added.
The source continued an said that the German man was training young men on technical and vocational skills free of charge.
When contacted the German embassy in FCT Abuja said it had no idea of these recent development.
They told journalists: “The Press officer is not yet in, but at this end we are not aware of something like that,”.
Meanwhile Adamawa State police spokesperson wasn’t available at the time of filing this report.
Adamawa is one of the states under the state of Emergency due to rampant Boko Haram attacks.
