Breaking News: Kevin-prince Boateng Confirms Black Stars Return To Ghana Fa
The Ghana Football Association has confirmed receipt of a written communication from Kevin-Prince Boateng announcing his return to international football.
This means the AC Milan ace will be available for selection for next month’s crucial Brazil 2014 World Cup qualifier against Zambia at home.
His letter read: ‘I write to inform the Ghana Football Association that after a few consultations, I have decided to change my decision and confirm my availability to play for the Black Stars whenever I am needed.’
Boateng ace wrote to the federation in November 2011 quitting the Black Stars, saying frequent injuries were behind the decision and wanted to concentrate on club football.
His shock resignation came 18 months after he was cleared by FIFA to play for Ghana having represented Germany as a youth international.
In June, a Ghana FA Executive Committee member Yaw Boateng Gyan, persuaded the 26-year-old to make U-turn.
Former Black Stars coach Goran Stevanovic made several unsuccessful attempts to talk him out of retirement.
