BREAKING NEWS: Blast Rocks Kano School of Hygiene, Seven Feared Dead

Over seven persons lost their lives in an explosion that took place at the Kano School of Hygiene, along Sabuwar Kofa in Kano State.

The ‎spokesperson for the Kano Police, Magaji Majiya, who confirmed the explosion to Sahara Reporters, said it is possible that the blast was a result of an explosive device going off.

The school is adjacent to the private house of the Police IGP.

According to Leadership, it was a suicide attack by a yet-to-be-identified bomber, killing scores of students. However, the suicide bomber has apprehended by the police in the state.

The area has been cordoned off, with the officials to comment shortly.

Naij.com reader Adamu Abdullahi Adamu witnessed the deadly incident as he was in the area to collect his OMR from WAEC official when the bom went off. The first thing I did was call my significant other, Zainab, to ensure she was okay. There are so many casuallities! Most of them female students, some were there for admission exercise. Parts of human bodies lay scattered around. I can’t imagine how a sensible person could do such a thing. Many parents whose sons and daughters were in the area are panicking. The police commissioner and secruty agencies are evacuting the victims.
