Assifuah In Running For Africa’s Most Promising Talent Award

4422377132787 406346 Assifuah In Running For Africas Most Promising Talent AwardEbenezer Assifuah is on the final three-man shortlist for CAF’s Most Promising Talent award.

The former U-20 striker is the only Ghanaian representative in any of the award categories at the 2013 Glo-CAF Awards. The winners will be announced on Thursday, January 9, 2014 in Lagos, Nigeria.

Assifuah, who plays for Swiss side, Sion faces competition from Saleh Gomaa of Egypt and Nigeria’s Kelechi Iheanacho.

The Ghana international won the Golden Boot trophy at the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey and helped his country to win third-place after scoring six goals in seven matches.

Prior to the tournament in Turkey, he struck three goals at the African U-20 Championship in Algeria where Ghana reached the final.

He was named in the tournament best XI.
