Angel Links donates to Dzorwulu Special School
Angel Links International, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) based in Oklahoma in the United States of America, has donated food and other items to the Dzorwulu Special School in Accra.
The items included bags of rice and sugar, gallons of cooking oil, boxes of biscuits, assorted fruit drinks, toiletries, among others.
In addition to the food items, the children were fed with cooked food amidst the playing of music, dancing and a rap competition, while a special birthday cake for those whose birthday fell on that day was cut and shared among members of the NGO and the children.
Ms Olivia Gonzalez, who led the group to present the items, said the NGO was moved to extend a helping hand to the school, knowing that the children had special needs and, therefore, needed to be given special attention.
She explained that the items were donations from the Salvation Army in Oklahoma to the NGO for onward presentation to the children, with long-term plans of setting up an educational fund for them.
Mr Fred Tettey, a teacher of the school, expressed appreciation to the donors and described the donation as the largest the school had received this year.
