New Patriotic Party presidential aspirant, Mr. Alan Kwadwo Kyeramaten on Sunday acquired his first instantbio-metric National Health Insurance card when he joined thousands of underprivileged children to celebrate this year’s Joy FM Easter Soup Kitchen charity program at the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park in Accra.

Mr. Kyerematen who was attending the program for the first time arrived at the venue with his wife Patricia and few members of his campaign team.

It took him and wife about 20 minutes to go through the registration process to  acquire their new biometric National Health Insurance cards.

Alan Kyerematen who is popularly  known as Alan Cash was cheered on by the people when he toured the event ground and interacted with various medical teams and the underprivileged children.

Mr. Kyerematen, his wife and his entourage served the children with foods and drinks.

Mr Kyerematen had also donated numerous items to support the charity event last week.

In a short message Alan Kyerematen praised Joy FM for organizing “such a  big charity program” to feed the less privilege in society.

He was overwhelmed by the attendance and promised to take part in subsequent events since he was passionate about charity programs.

Thousands of society’s less privileged were fed, clothed and given medical care at Joy FM Easter Soup Kitchen,  which is undoubtedly the nation’s biggest charity program.

The annual event is part of the Joy Fm’s corporate social responsibility to the underprivileged in society. 

Several bales of clothes and food items, toiletries and medicine were donated by philanthropists and listeners of Joy FM to make the event successful. 

Over three thousand participants benefit from the this year’s programme.

Nana Oye Lithur, Minister for Women, Children and Social Protection, was one of the many dignitaries who supported the event.

She was full of praise for Joy FM for sustaining the programme it pioneered some fifteen years ago.
