Akuse Presbyterian Church manse inaugurated
The sermon was on the theme: ‘Let the Lord exalt you’ (Luke 14:1-14).
The occasion also coincided with the send-off of the Akuse District Minister, Rev. Samuel Atteh Odjelua.
Rev. Appertey paid tribute to the members of the Akuse Presbyterian Church of Ghana for their selflessness, commitment and dedication towards the building of the manse which he described as the best in the presbytery.
The chairperson expressed gratitude to Madam Gloria Awovi Rego, a native of Akuse who is resident in the United Kingdom for her selflessness and her immense contribution towards the project.
He said Madam Rego also single-handedly rehabilitated a dilapidated kindergarten block for the Akuse Presbyterian Primary School.
The facility has two classrooms, with cupboards, two store rooms, two toilets, two urinals, a bath and a playground.
Madam Rego said she deemed it her spiritual duty to assist to promote the work of God and would continue to help when the need arose.
The District Minister, Rev. Odjelua, for his part, was grateful to the entire congregation for their co-operation during his tenure of office for the Akuse District.
