Afcon 2015, Alaixys Romao: Everything will depend on the organization of the federation

Alaixys Romao has closely followed the draw of groups for the Afcon 2015 qualifiers. The Olympique de Marseille midfielder part of the selection believes in the qualification of his country and relives a similar adventure like that in South Africa last year.

Togo had achieved for the first time in its history the quarterfinals of the competition.

To go to Morocco, Togo will snatch one of the top two places in Group E alongside Ghana and Guinea. The 3rd opponent of the Hawks will be known later. For Romao , “it’s a pretty tough group with Ghana which is favorite. But we can pass.”

The former Lorient player however does not hide his concern: “everything will depend on the new coach and the organization of the Federation” . Romao knows what he talks about.

Suspended for accumulation of yellow cards, “Gattuso” had been authorized by his staff and the FTF to evolve against Cameroon in the FIFA World Cup 2014. Togo has consequently been withdrawn three points a few weeks later (despite a brilliant 2-0 win).
